Pre-booked taxis for all local train stations with YLC
Aldershot Station
Address: Station Road, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 1HT
Aldershot Station is situated close to the town centre, and ideal for access to local businesses and various Army camps. The station does have a taxi rank but at such a busy station, it can be quite a long wait, so pre-booking is recommended. If you need to impress your own top brass, or just want a reliable taxi to or from Aldershot station, just book anytime on our free YLC booking app.
Alton station
Address: Station Road, Alton, GU34 2PZ
Alton is a busy commuter station at the end of the line from London via various routes, so pre-booking your taxi is a really smart move! Alton’s long-established Alton 8’s taxi firm is part of the YLC group. You’ll find their office right outside Alton station itself, but there isn’t actually a taxi rank! So, you can book anytime via the Alton 8’s booking app or even our own YLC app, or at the office during office hours. For more details see our Alton 8’s website.
Ash Station
Address: Ash Church Road, Ash, Aldershot, GU12 6BE
Ash train station is a small station and thanks to a major upgrade, the main road no longer passes through a busy level crossing. Access to Ash station has therefore changed with a new road and bridge built to bypass the level crossing, which closes around eight times an hour or 150 times a day.
The new Chester Bridge takes vehicles and pedestrians across the railway tracks and into the new housing development, before joining the main road again. Pedestrians and cyclists can still cross the tracks using the level crossing, but the level crossing is now closed to vehicles.
So if you want one of our taxi or private hire drivers to drop or collect you from Ash station, it might be quicker to walk across the crossing from one platform to another depending on your destination.
If you’re coming from the south and planning to try and park in one of the 18 parking spaces, you’ll need to take the new road across Chester Bridge and double-back. Instead, take a taxi and we can drop you right at the station itself. There is no taxi rank at this station, so pre-booking your taxi home with Your Local Car is essential.
Ash Vale Station
Address: Station Approach, Ash, Ash Vale, Aldershot, GU12 5LP
Ash Vale is a main line rail station with trains to London Waterloo every 30 minutes. It’s also a very convenient station for direct trains to Guildford, Reading and London Gatwick. A taxi rank is marked but very rarely used, especially at night. So, pre-booking a Your Local Car taxi via the app from Ash Vale Station is the best way to ensure you have a taxi ride home. We can drop you off for the direct train to Gatwick Airport, meet you from your train when you return, and will happily help with luggage too.
Blackwater Railway Station
Address: London Road, Blackwater, GU17 9AB
Blackwater station is on the Reading line, and is situated on the main A30 road, two miles from Camberley Town Centre. The station is within walking distance from The Meadows shopping centre with its large M&S, Tesco and Next stores, but that walk does involve crossing busy roads. Taxis are not known to be waiting at the station so again, pre-booking via the YLC app is a smart move.
Camberley Station
Address: Station Approach, Camberley, GU15 3RR
Camberley station is on the South West Trains Ascot to Guildford line and is situated very close to the town centre. The train station is within easy walking distance of both The Mall and The Atrium shopping centres, and the High Street shops. It’s also our local train station here at Your Local Car! Just download the app to pre-book your train station drop off, collections, and taxis to Sandhurst Military Academy and Frimley Park Hospital.
Crowthorne Station
Address: Dukes Ride, Crowthorne, Bracknell Forest, RG45 0QW
Crowthorne station is rather unusual in that it has two entrances, one for each platform. So even if you do manage to find a space in the small car park (usually packed with commuters’ cars), you may need to cross the line via the road. There are few facilities, and no taxi rank. Prebook your journey to and from Crowthorne Station with us, and your driver will drop you and collect you at the correct platform.
Farnborough Main train station
Address: Farnborough Road, Farnborough, GU14 7NL
Farnborough Station is situated a short walk from the town centre, and is on the main South Western Railway line to London Waterloo. Whilst both car parks are quite big, parking at the station is costly, currently £12.40 in the Premium parking, and £9.90 in the others for a one day Peak ticket Monday – Friday. So, book a taxi instead and save time and hassle, as the car parks do fill up quickly.
Farnborough Main station is ideal for easy access via taxi to TAG Farnborough Airport and Farnborough Business Park. Our taxi drivers can collect you or your business VIPs from outside the station and drive them in comfort and safety to your offices or premises. Or treat yourself to an eco-friendly all electric SUV taxi for a comfortable ride home from Farnborough station after a day shopping in London or a night in the West End.
Farnborough North Station
Address: Farnborough Street, Farnborough Green, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 2PL
Farnborough North station is situated on the Reading to Gatwick line, and is tucked away down a narrow side road. There is no parking, and no taxi rank at this station. Pre-booking a tax via our app is essential. You could walk from Farnborough Main to Farnborough North station, but it’s a good 20 mins walk via some busy roads. In the other direction, it’s all uphill, and Highgate Lane is a long hill! Better to book a taxi via our app and save your legs!

Fleet Station
Address: Station Approach, Fleet, GU51 3QY
Fleet station is always very busy with commuters and those travelling north to London Waterloo and south to Basingstoke. Only authorised taxi drivers with permits can use the limited taxi rank at the station. Our sister company Hart Taxis can drop you and collect you from the station with no need to wait at the taxi rank. The car park is now much bigger than it used to be, but parking will still set you back just short of £10 for a one day Peak parking space. A taxi is easier, quicker and much less stressful.
Frimley Station
Address: Station Approach, Frimley, Camberley, GU16 5EW
Frimley rail station is situated at the end of Frimley High Street and is the closest train station for Frimley Park Hospital. As a result, station taxis are often in short supply, especially during visiting hours. So, it’s a good idea to pre-book your Frimley station taxi well in advance. Why not save yourself the stress of train and taxi, and pre-book a Your Local Car comfy electric taxi direct from your home to the hospital entrance instead? Book via our easy to use app and you can track your taxi as it arrives!
North Camp Station
Address: Lynchford Road, Ash Vale, Hampshire, GU12 5QA
North Camp train station is situated on the Surrey Hants borders at the end of Lynsons Avenue. With direct trains to Redhill, London Gatwick and connections to Brighton, it’s a small but surprisingly busy station. There is no taxi rank, and taxis tend not to call by in the evenings. It’s also a major walk from pretty much anywhere! With limited parking at North Camp, leave the car at home and book your ride home with Your Local Car – perhaps after a pint in the Old Ford pub next door!
Sandhurst Station
Address: High Street, Sandhurst, Bracknell Forest, GU47 4QO
Sandhurst station is on the North Hills line from Reading to Redhill, with onward connections to Gatwick Airport and Brighton. Situated on top of a steep embankment, Sandhurst station has no facilities, and no parking, not even a pull-in space! So, if you’re travelling homewards, always pre-book your taxi ride home with us. Our driver will meet you at a pre-arranged safe location just outside the station.
Wanborough Station
Address: Glaziers Lane, Guildford, GU3 2ED
Wanborough station is situated in the village of Normandy, with the entrance between two private buildings. There is no taxi rank, so pre-booking a taxi for collection at this station is essential.
Winchfield Station
Address: Station Road, Winchfield, RG27 8BX
Winchfield station is on the main line to London Waterloo, and south to Portsmouth Harbour. Like so many of our local stations, it does not have a taxi rank, so you’ll need to pre-book your YLC taxi home via the YLC app. It does have Wifi, so the app can easily connect, and you can track your taxi coming to pick you up!
